The first step was Business consulting – how to connect InstantFeedback to eCommerce platforms. We went trough the problems and created a theoretical solution for 2 specific goals that are most important for FrodX.
Next step is to create and validate this MVP idea. David (team leader & technical support), Mitja (programmer) and Rok Meglič (me) agreed to do a workshop at kovacnica.si which is the perfect place for creating new ideas 🙂 The first step was to check with Mitja, programmer, how could we implement the suggested theoretical preposition from Business consulting session we had with the owner Igor and Daivid.
Mitja suggested even better hybrid solution which is a standalone application which will connect to eCommerce platforms (pull) and after having enough data, will call the Frodx API (push) to send gathered information.
After agreeing on this hybrid solution we went to coding session + we moved to the main place in Kovacnica.si which looks really nice:
Mitja used Python where he quickly created administration portal, where we entered the Shop URL, API KEY and SECRET KEY and went using WooCommerce Python library, which is a bit outdated and Mitja went coding request call by him self. In the end we had a working model where we gathered test data from dev Shop and could call the FrodX API.
Problem solved. Next step is to find the first real implementation and get to know how this will work at real customer example. Questions here are which platform does the client use (Magento, Woocommerce), which version of this platform uses (1.5, 1.7, 1.9., 2.2, …) and if they have any custom field or hard-coded stuff that needs to be considered when gathering the data over API protocol.
